About Event

The Nigerian Center is hosting a public forum following President’s Biden 2023 State of the Union Address. The event will discuss and review aspects of the address relevant to the African immigrant community as well as examine the current immigration policies that affect the community. The forum will feature immigration policy experts and advocacy groups working on immigration reform and policy. The event would also achieve the following:

  • Examine new policy changes to the country’s immigration law

  • Amplify efforts of advocacy groups on new immigration reforms for the African immigrant community

  • Help the immigrants know their immigration rights and gain access to legal aid resources
