The Nigerian Center is hosting the event, "Shaping the US-Nigeria Strategy: Recommendations from the Diaspora,". This event aims to foster collaboration between the United States and Nigeria, leveraging the insights and expertise of the Nigerian diaspora community. Recognizing the significant role that diaspora communities play in shaping policies and fostering economic development, this event seeks to harness their knowledge and perspectives to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries. Participants will have the opportunity to share their insights and contribute to the shaping of the US-Nigeria strategy. Join us for an engaging and impactful event that aims to harness the power of the Nigerian diaspora and forge a stronger and more collaborative future between the United States and Nigeria

Objectives:

  1. Promote Dialogue: Provide a platform for open and meaningful discussions between policymakers, experts, and members of the Nigerian diaspora on key issues impacting the bilateral relationship between the United States and Nigeria.

  2. Harness Diaspora Expertise: Tap into the wealth of expertise and diverse experiences of the Nigerian diaspora to generate recommendations and insights that can inform the development of an effective and comprehensive US-Nigeria strategy.

  3. Strengthen Collaboration: Encourage partnerships and collaborations between the Nigerian diaspora organizations, government agencies, think tanks, and other relevant stakeholders to foster cooperation and exchange of ideas.

  4. Policy Recommendations: Develop a set of actionable policy recommendations that address key areas of concern, including trade and investment, security, education, healthcare, technology transfer, and cultural exchange, to strengthen the bilateral relationship and promote mutual prosperity.
