Dear Community Members and Partners,

We are excited to share the Nigerian Center’s 2025 Tax Assistance Program Impact Report. This program is a reflection of our commitment to supporting low and moderate-income earners, especially immigrants, in navigating the often complex tax system with confidence and ease.

As an immigrant-serving organization, we couldn’t be more proud of this program. For many immigrants, accurate tax filing is not only essential for staying compliant but also plays a crucial role in demonstrating good moral character. It is a key requirement for naturalization and other immigration processes. This program ensures that community members can stay on track with their immigration journey and not delay their American dream due to back taxes.

During the 2024 tax season, we proudly assisted 85 taxpayers from 13 states across the country and helped return $68,286 in refunds back into the hands of hardworking families.

We are deeply grateful to our certified volunteers who made this program possible and to our wonderful community partners who helped us reach underserved populations.

The good news? The Tax Assistance Program is now available year-round at the Nigerian Center! Throughout 2025, we will continue offering support for both current and prior-year filings.
