About the Program:

The Nigerian Center is a vibrant immigrant and cultural organization rooted in the values of social justice, cultural inclusion, and community connection. We are committed to celebrating African heritage and supporting the preservation of language and culture for all, from families passing down native traditions to African Americans reconnecting with their roots, to language enthusiasts passionate about indigenous knowledge.

This summer, we are launching an Igbo Language Enrichment Program in Washington, DC — a joyful, Saturday-based initiative designed for children ages 4–10. The goal is to help young learners build spoken fluency and cultural confidence in Yoruba through play-based, immersive instruction.
