INFO SESSION: Nigeria's National Identification Number (NIN)

INFO SESSION: Nigeria's National Identification Number (Virtual)

The purpose of Nigeria's National Identification Number (NIN) is to establish a centralized and unique identification system for Nigerians (home and abroad) and legal residents in Nigeria. It is a 11-digit unique number assigned to each individual, and it is linked to a person's biometric data, including fingerprints and facial recognition. It's worth noting that the Nigerian government has made the possession of a NIN mandatory for various services and activities including international passport services.

Join the Nigerian Center’s information session on NIN to understand the specific requirements and processes for obtaining and using a NIN to get accurate and up-to-date information.

During the workshop, our subject matter expert will cover the following topics:

  •          Overview of NIN, its importance, and primary objectives

  •          The benefits of obtaining NIN and impacts of non-compliance.

  •          Detailed information and guidance on how to obtain NIN in the United States

  •          Step-by-step guidance on completing the NIN application and common challenges.
