The Nigerian Center, a 501(c)(3), is a national civic institution advancing social justice, culture, and opportunity for Black immigrants. We work at the intersection of legal aid, cultural diplomacy, financial inclusion, and policy advocacy, shaping the Black immigrant narrative in the United States.

Job Description:

The Monetization & Partnership Strategist will grow the Nigerian Center’s earned-income streams, corporate partnerships, faith-based collaborations, and brand-aligned social enterprises. This role blends business development, brand commercialization, sponsorship strategy, and digital monetization.

Role and Duties:

  • Develop and scale earned-income opportunities (language classes, low-bono legal services, workshops, digital products).

  • Expand partnerships with corporations, faith-based institutions, cultural organizations, and community groups.

  • Lead sponsorship outreach for events, media projects, and campaigns.

  • Build co-branding and merchandising opportunities leveraging the Nigerian Center trademark.

  • Monetize digital platforms (YouTube, social media, livestreams, educational content).

  • Support revenue strategies for major events (Nigerian American Day, Washington Prosperity campaigns, cultural festivals).

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years in partnerships, business development, brand strategy, or revenue generation.

  • Experience with nonprofit earned-income, social enterprise, or corporate sponsorships.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Cultural fluency with African, Nigerian, or immigrant communities preferred.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build new systems from the ground up.
